I'm going to London!

December 20, 2015

If you follow me on Twitter or on Instagram (or if you simply just read the title of this blogpost), then you might already know that, I am indeed traveling to LONDON! GAAAH! This is so surreal. Everyone (and by everyone, I mean my family and friends of course) knows how much I looove London. I live for London. I have dreamt of walking around the streets of London for years. It is my dream.

Even so, I didn't think I would actually be living it at such an early age. Originally, I had planned to go to London with the money I'll be earning from my dream job at least 10 years from now. It was simple really, just myself and maybe a loved one as my travel buddy. We'd go see the place take pretty pictures, learn from the locals, adapt to the weather, eat fish and chips, and my favourite – get lost. I personally prefer getting lost in a lovely city because I hate, hate, hate planning itineraries.

But this is so much better because I get to spend the holidays with my family in my favourite city.

Most of you may fangirl (or boy, whatever you are – let's not be sexists here hehe) over bands, singers, actors, writers, etcetera. But me? I fangirl over this city. And I could seriously go on and on about how much I adore London, but I'm not going to do that because this blog would transition into a travel blog when it's really supposed to be more of a lifestyle one. Plus, this page would definitely not be enough, and that's bad because I have big plans for many other blogposts in the future. *wink* *wink*

Before all the fun and excitement, we have been through a lot. Who knew it was so hard to apply for a UK visa? The requirements were a lot – which is why we decided to not do the whole thing by ourselves and opted to hire a travel agency instead. Waiting for 15 working days (which is easily 3 whole weeks) for the approval was probably the hardest part – at least for me haha.

I actually didn't tell anyone other than my closest set of friends about our application. Even though I was so excited, I didn't want to get my hopes up and be disappointed when the worst comes to worst as there was a profound possibility that we would have been denied. I think for everyone applying for a visa, it's always a 50:50 chance... maybe.

But enough of that, let's get going with the good stuff.

At the moment, I am on a plane to Doha, Quatar, where we will have a layover for 3 hours before hopping on another plane to London. I'm literally 10 hours away from my dream, and I'm trying so hard to calm my nerves!

Here's a snap of what I'm currently watching while having a drink of orange Fanta on my seat. I've been switching between several Hollywood films for so long, and I've finally decided to just stick with this one (even though I've already seen it). I was just really surprised to find out that there are Filipino movies in the airline's movie selection.

Life really can't get any better right now. Always, always remember to count your blessings, guys. It's the key to life. I hope you're having a lovely day wherever you are, take care always, and love lots!
